		<description>[...]  I layered the cross hatching of contrasting colours to build up depths of shadow.  I chose smooth white paper so the ink had the right degree of purchase.  I thought the white paper coming through the ink gave the picture an effective luminous quality.  I have been looking at the blog of Holly Wales which you can find here.  I like the way she has used felt tips to explore different themes.  She uses vibrant complemantary colours to emphasise facial features, for example in her picture of Sir Peter Cook which you can see here.  [...]</description>
